Condemning the killing of Nuclear Scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan
14/01/2012 01:54:00 AM GMT
Irani nuclear scientist killed in an explosion.

“This cowardly act of terror, whose perpetrators and plotters would never come in front and dare to confess to their crime although they will accept their responsibilities for it if investigated it is obvious that planning and support has been provided by CIA and Mossad spy services, like all other crimes of the network of international state terrorism targeting Muslim states” said Ayatollah Khamenei late on Thursday in a message of condolence on the death of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan.

“The assassination attempt depicting a global arrogance funded by the US and Zionism has reached a deadlock in confrontation with the determined, devout, and progressive nations such as Islamic Iran” Khamenei added. He highlighted that Iran's rapid scientific progress is not dependent on individuals but is a historic movement and arises from the invulnerable national resolve of people of Iran which it would continue.

On January 11 it is reported that made the headline that an unknown motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to the Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan (Nuclear Scientist)'s car near a college building of Allameh Tabatabaei University in the capitalTehran. Ahmadi Roshan died instantly after the explosion while his driver sustained serious injuries and died a few hours later in hospital. Ahmadi Roshan was a Sharif University of Technology chemical engineering graduate and the deputy director of marketing at iran's Natanz nuclear facility for quite some time now.

The latest terrorist attack have occurred as Iran has reached an agreement with the P5+1 stating that Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States plus Germany will hold negotiations in Turkey to add sanctions upon Iran. The US, Israel and their allies accuse Iran for pursuing a military nuclear program and have used these allegations as a pretext to sway the United Nations Security Council to impose four rounds of sanctions on Iran that would disrupt the economy. Based on these accusations Tehran has also received repeated threats of a military strike.

In November last year it was also openly stated that if Iran would continue to have their nuclear agendas fulfilled, it would also have to face airstrikes on the capital Tehran that would totally sabotage the nuclear facilities of Iran. These threats have been coming up with a series of killings of Iranian scientists working for nuclear facilities. Professor Majid Shahriari and Professor Masoud Ali-Mohammadi are among the victims that have also lost their lives for working on nuclear facilities. On November 29, 2010, Shahriari and Fereydoun Abbasi were also targeted by terrorist attacks; Shahriari was killed instantly and Dr. Abbasi, the current director of iran's Atomic Energy Organization, sustained serious injuries.

Iran says as the UN Resolution 1747 adopted against Tehran in March 2007, Abbasi's name as a nuclear scientist the perpetrators were in a position to trace their victim. It is also stated that Ahmadi Roshan had recently met International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, a fact which indicates that the IAEA there might be some information for Iran's nuclear facilities and scientists.
